Short Ball Attack

In short-ball-attack the aim is to develop a pattern of play that opens up the court by pushing the opponent wide by hitting cross-court and waiting for a short ball to approach with down-the-line.

  1. The coach will feed three balls from the service line.
  2. The first two will be hit back deep cross court at cones that the coach can set up.
  3. The 3rd shot will be a shorter ball that lands within the service line and should be hit down-the-line at another cone set up by the coach.

note: use multiple cones, to provide a bigger target to aim at.
