Deep and Short

This drill works on both defence and attack in one. And in doing so allows a player to learn the patterns of turning defence into attack.

  1. The coach will feed one shot deep into the right-handers backhand, which should be hit back deep crosscourt
  2. A 2nd shot will be fed short to the right-handers forehand. that should be hit down the line

This drill can be changed around by feeding the first ball deep to the right-handers forehand and the 2nd ball fed short to the right-handers backhand.

      Hi Michael, always regress to a really basic standpoint with all drills, be sure to use modified balls, racquets and nets, and take things slowly focusing on fun, and getting the hang of things with ongoing consistency 🙂
