Lose And Run

This drill is specifically designed to have players compete under fatigue, and is great for building both anaerobic and aerobic endurance.

  1. Players will compete against each other in a normal match situation, however after a player loses a point they must do a “fast-lap” run to the net, back to the service line, back to the net, and back to the baseline, before beginning the next point.
  2. This can generally cause aerobic pain to players, so matches should be kept short and in proportion to the fitness level and standard of the players.
  3. Players will soon learn the importance of grinding out a point, reducing unforced errors and not making silly mistakes.
