Lose And Run
This drill is specifically designed to have players compete under fatigue, and is great for building both anaerobic and aerobic endurance.
- Players will compete against each other in a normal match situation, however after a player loses a point they must do a “fast-lap” run to the net, back to the service line, back to the net, and back to the baseline, before beginning the next point.
- This can generally cause aerobic pain to players, so matches should be kept short and in proportion to the fitness level and standard of the players.
- Players will soon learn the importance of grinding out a point, reducing unforced errors and not making silly mistakes.
