Ring of Fire
The ring of fire tennis drill is rather simple. Both players rally (with a hand-fed ball), playing first to 21 points, ensuring they don’t hit the ball in the ring of fire, outlined by the cones.
It is designed to force players to find angles and not play down the middle. It is for more advanced players who are able to develop patterns of play and push their opponents out of court while maintaining a consistent cross court shot.

This can be adapted, so that serves are hit rather than hand fed balls allowing a different dimension. There can also be physical tasks such as push-ups or sit-ups that can be given to the loser, or to those that hit the ball in the ring of fire.
