This tennis drill teaches players to practice one of the most crucial rally shots in the game, the deep crosscourt shot. This is a high percentage tennis shot that puts pressure back onto the opponent by taking time and space away from them by hitting a deep shot. Hitting crosscourt also allows for faster recovery-time, higher margin for errors over the net and into the longer part of the court.
- Players must play first to 10 or 20 points with a point won when the opposing player does not hit it past the service line cross court, into the second half of the court.
- Once the game is finished, players should switch to play crosscourt on the other side.
