2nd Serve Attack Tennis Drills
One player serves a second serve, while the other play is hitting the ball in an attacking manner on the rise. This drill can be repeated both sides, over a number of times.
To adapt this game to more of a match-play situation, play first to 11 points with the receiver needing to hit the 2nd serve as an approach shot and coming to the net to play out the point.
Preferably the approach shot should go down the line, as this will provide less of an angle for the server to pass, as well as allowing for a quicker time for the receiver to get in an attacking position at the net where the middle-ground of the angles is covered.
